Translating a complex B2B product into compelling marketing

Campaign design, event materials, and promotional collateral for the Mining Intelligence platform—translating a complex B2B technology product into compelling marketing across print, digital, and event channels.

Strong product, weak value proposition communication

Mining Intelligence had a sophisticated product but struggled to communicate its value proposition clearly to a non-technical audience. Marketing materials were inconsistent and failed to connect the platform’s technical capabilities to the business outcomes buyers cared about.

C-suite and conference attendees

Marketing audience: C-suite and senior operations decision-makers at mining companies. Event audiences: industry conference attendees at mining technology expos.

Lead designer for all marketing and promotional materials

Worked closely with the marketing and business development teams.

2019 · Part of the broader Mining Intelligence engagement.

Business outcomes first, features second

01

Brand & Messaging Alignment

Worked with leadership to clarify the platform’s core value proposition and translate it into marketing-ready messaging.

02

Collateral Design

Designed brochures, sales one-pagers, and presentation materials anchored in clear business outcomes rather than feature lists.

03

Event & Campaign Materials

Created event booth design, banners, and digital campaign assets for industry conferences.

Great B2B marketing design does not showcase features—it answers the buyer’s question: what problem does this solve for me? Every layout decision served that north star.

A scalable, consistent marketing system

Brand consistency across all marketing channels

1

Scalable design system for ongoing campaigns

Sales team readiness at industry events

Marketing design is UX design. The user of a brochure has the same need as the user of a software interface: to find the information they need, quickly, and trust what they find. The same empathy applies.
